As previously announced, Power TakeOff in partnership with ComEd, was recently awarded the Inspiring Efficiency Award for Innovation by MEEA. Peter, Nate, and Clark attended the Midwest Energy Solutions Conference by MEEA in Chicago to accept the award with our partner ComEd Sr. Program Manager Rick Tonielli. Rick gave an excellent acceptance speech about the impact and benefit the VCx™ Program has had with local small and medium businesses including many schools and local municipalities. You can...

The team recently returned from AESP's 30th Annual Conference in Anaheim this past week with a renewed and excited outlook for energy efficiency in 2020. Thank you to all of the utilities and industry partners that stopped by our booth to learn about all the expanding services we offer. We had a terrific week and look forward to the AESP Summer Conference in Jacksonville three months from now. We'll see you there....

The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) has awarded its 2020 Inspiring Efficiency Innovation Award to ComEd. As the program creator and manager, Power TakeOff first launched the Virtual Commissioning (VCx™) Program in ComEd’s Illinois service territory starting in 2016. At no cost to participants, the VCx™ Program helps SMBs and public institutions identify and implement operational focused energy efficiency improvements. These hard-to-reach customer segments represent more than 90% of all non-residential accounts for ComEd. Power TakeOff has substantially grown the VCx™ Program from its 2 GWh savings achievement...

In the spirit of the holidays and to brighten up our Denver office space, the team held a door decorating competition in lead up to the company's holiday office party. As voted on by the families of staff at the party, Nate and Clark were awarded a much deserved first place, followed very closely by Chris and Natalie with a company themed design...

BECC is a great conference to learn new behavioral sciences, program designs, and research from the top graduate students and organizations in our industry. We're excited to take some time away from the office to take a step back and look at the industry anew. We look forward to seeing you at the many events....

With all energy efficiency program designs, the company makes changes to consumption and then calculates savings. Deemed savings estimates allow for engineers to make comparisons between equipment that was previously installed and estimate lifetime savings for new equipment. Whole building modeling gives programs the opportunity to do non-intrusive monitoring to look at the facility from a holistic view. One of the major benefits of using whole building approaches with utility data is the ability to monitor...

Join Power TakeOff at the 40th PLMA Conference in St. Petersburg, FL to discuss load management and help shape the industry. We're excited about this year's jam packed agenda and events. We look forward to networking and learning from everyone as we grow and improve customer solutions....

Despite the massive opportunity for energy reduction, operational savings in commercial buildings have long been low on utility priority list because of the challenges of big data: acquisition, analysis, and action. There are energy savings that are easy to prove, and energy savings that are harder to prove. Proving energy savings from capital measures, like changing out lightbulbs, is relatively simple. Incandescent light bulbs use a certain amount of power to operate, and LEDs use less...

The 2019 ACEEE EE as a Resource Conference in Minneapolis October 15-17 is a forum to learn about the latest developments in the design and delivery of customer energy efficiency programs.
